This 90-minute workshop is designed specifically for teen girls who want practical tools to stay safe, think clearly, and move through the world with more confidence. It’s especially helpful for anyone preparing for more independence—high school, college, jobs, or commuting on their own.

Awareness & decision-making: How to read your surroundings, notice red flags, and trust your instincts.
Real self-defense techniques: Simple, effective skills you can use to protect yourself and stay in control.

“My name is Cindy Benigno, and for the past 6 years, I have had the joy of teaching the Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention program. This practice is based on the Sun style of Tai Chi, chosen for its proven healing benefits, gentle Qigong exercises, and its remarkable ability to improve mobility and balance.”
Over these five weeks, you’ll experience a powerful yet gentle practice that includes:
• Warm-up & Cool-down movements to safely prepare and restore the body
• Qigong breathing techniques for relaxation and vital energy
• Basic Core Tai Chi movements from the Sun style tradition
Accessibility & Adaptations
This entire class can be done fully seated in a chair if needed.

This method uses the support of the floor to release tension, improve alignment, strengthen joints, and support healthy movement patterns without the strain of gravity.
Widely respected in the world of injury prevention and rehabilitation, Zena Rommett’s approach is recommended by leading medical and movement specialists. Dina will guide you through simple, accessible exercises that help build strength, ease, and body awareness.
